By protecting and improving our environment, the communities where we do business and the students we serve, Sodexo makes every day a better day and every tomorrow a better tomorrow.

Food Allergy

Talk to Us about Your Food Allergies and Diet Needs!

We take pride in sourcing wholesome ingredients, preparing recipes accurately and providing nutritional analysis and ingredient statements through our online menus and nutrition calculator. We are all passionate about serving students. From general manager to front line servers, we work diligently to address students’ specific needs, especially those with food allergies, Celiac disease, or special diet needs.

A team approach led by you, our educated consumer, is the best preparation for a safe school year free of allergic reactions. We want to meet one-on-one with all of our customers who have individual dining needs to ensure that your dining experience is safe, delicious, and social. If you have a food allergy/special diet concern, please call or send us a note using the feedback form.

My Zone

My ZoneMy Zone is our campus "pantry" at RPI, where food items needed by students with Celiac disease or food allergies are stored and prepared with precautions against cross-contact. This special area is free of tree nut, peanut, and gluten-containing ingredients and products. My Zone gives students the ability to be involved in their own allergen-safe meal preparation.

Simple Servings

Simple ServingsSimple Servings, a hot entree station located in the Commons dining hall, provides safe and appetizing food choices for our customers with food allergies, gluten intolerance or those who prefer simple foods.
Simple Servings is Sodexo's solution to proactively address most of the ingredients that account for 90% of all food allergy reactions: milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish, peanuts and tree nuts. Fin fish is allowed in the offer. The lunch and dinner menu change daily and include varied protein options and vegan side dishes. This program allows students to comply with their food allergy or dietary restriction while not being singled out or having to wait for a specially prepared meal.

allertrainSixty of our food service employees have received a food allergy training certification from Menutrinfo. These staff members can be identified by the Allertrain button that they wear on their uniform. Please ask one of these trained staff members if you have a question about a specific food item.
